The One, The Only Part 2

Alec told me today that I was the rudest Mom in the world because I wouldn't let him eat fruit snacks all day!
(What a horrible Mom I am!)

The One, The Only

Gavin told me today that I was the nicest Mom that he has ever had!
(Of course I am the only Mom he has ever had, but I will take what I can get, right?)

Now for the real talent

Brynn started taking piano lessons this September.
She just had her first piano recital.
She did awesome!

(Thanks to my awesome sister-in-law, Angie, for letting me borrow her camera for the occasion!)

talent

I suppose without my camera I will have to resort to just talking about my life and kids.

Brynn did something funny today. She came waddling into the room like a duck and said, "Look mom I have a talent. I can walk like a duck!" I keep telling everyone how smart and talented my kids are, and Brynn just proved it!

A Sad Day

Today is a sad day for me. I had to send my awesome camera in for repairs before the warranty runs out this month. I now have to do film for 6-8 weeks! So because of this I am not sure how interesting this blog will be for a while.

"Winter Hat"

I made Alec a Hat. (Add hat knitting to my insane list of hobbies!)
Well he calls it his "Winter Hat," and he wears it all day long, and everywhere we go. It is pretty cute.

Moments

I recently heard the saying: "We do not remember the days, We remember the moments."

I had one of those moments the other day. I was making noodles for soup and Alec loves to help me with this job. We were just spending the afternoon together, making noodles, and Alec kept dancing to the radio music in the background. It made me smile. I know that sometimes I get caught up in all the craziness of being a parent and I need to step back more and enjoy some of the moments.

HALLOWEEN

The kids had a great Halloween. It is great to see "perma-grin" on their faces all day!

Brynn was Little Red Riding Hood
(I made her costume...I know, how cool am I? JK)

Gavin was Aang from the cartoon Avatar
(I tried to talk him into actually shaving his hair, but he didn't want anything
to do with that. Pantyhose did the trick!)

Alec was a Dinosaur (Though if you just said dinosaur he would be mad. According to him he was a Triceretops Dinosaur)

The loot!
