I love my family and miss them so much. Going back to Nova Scotia always feels like going home.
Me and my Grandma
Me and my Aunt Sherry
Me and my Aunt Lauren (Honestly I don't know where I got my height from).
Grandma, me, Amy, and Lauren
Grandma, and my cousin Trevor
I also got to see some friends. I love my NS friends. And I love that years and miles have not torn us apart.
Me and Yolanda
Me and Yolanda's daughter Nevada
I chose to go home in July because one of my best friends was getting married.
I love Tanya and her family. Her parents have always been so good to me and I call them "Ma" and "Pa." They have pictures of my family and kids on their fridge. They have a super special place in my heart.
Me and Tanya
On Sunday I got to spend the day with another one of my best friends in Halifax
Leah is the best. My gut hurts from laughing after spending time with her.
Fog in July! Only in NS (I was floored by this, but Leah wasn't fazed. Seems like it always happens. We definitely never see fog in July in Utah).
I also spent time at the beach. (I could live on the beach. I love the ocean with all my heart).
I did a lot of driving. I love driving in NS. Everywhere you look there are green trees.
While we were in Halifax Leah and I went to a Titanic graveyard. NS has a very interesting history and ties to the Titanic. This is the grave of an unidentified person. History fascinates me.
One week is not long enough, but I am grateful I get to go once a year. And I am very grateful for my sweet husband who holds down the fort like a champ.
