Update

(Today he has nasty blisters all over. I will spare you that picture. It is nasty)

On Friday night Brett had a fever and felt achy. He thought he was getting the flu. He woke up on Saturday and his leg hurt. Then he noticed there was some redness and swelling near his ankle.

He went to the instacare and found out he has an infection called Cellulitis. They put him on an IV antibiotic for a couple of hours, drew a line around the infection and sent him home.

That night his fever got worse and by the next morning the infection had spread outside the line. He went back to the ER and they decided to admit him. He was on two different antibiotics for 3 days in the hospital.

Today he was able to come home but he still has his IV line in and has to go back to the hospital once a day for a couple of hours to get antibiotics. He has to do this until Sunday.

This is a nasty infection and we have no idea how he got it. The crazy part is that we caught it early and he still had to be hospitalized.

We are so glad he is home and doing better!
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

That is scary not to know how he contracted the infection. I hope he continues to heal quickly.
