Alec's eyeball Part II

Want to see a miracle?

Alec's eye has rounded itself out! It no longer has that dip in it. We are so happy at this progress.
The doctor said that the iris was stretched out and may stay stretched out or it may tighten up as it heals. Right now his pupil is much bigger than his other one:
The doctor thinks that when he puts him under to take the stitches out that he can make it tighten a little. But he may have one eye that always looks dilated. Lets hope for another miracle that it will tighten and look as close to normal as possible.

In 4 to 5 weeks. He has to wear his eye patch until then and he can't run around and be crazy. He can go back to school, but he can't play at recess.

I am so excited for you guys...you could not medicate me enough to handle something like that. So lame function question...his eye LOOKS dialated but is it...meaning is his vision the same or is it blurry in the light? It is amazing to me what they can do with the eye these days.

Lynette his vision is perfect (Thank Heaven)! It is just dilated because it was physically stretched out, not with drops. He will also have to be careful in the sunlight if it stays that way.
